RTT for Anxiety and Not Feeling Good Enough

Introduction to RTT

Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) is a focused form of hypnotherapy that works with the subconscious mind. I often use this approach when anxiety keeps showing up, or when there is a familiar sense of not feeling good enough, even when things make sense on the surface.

It can be helpful when fears, anxiety, or self-doubt feel automatic or difficult to shift through talking alone. These patterns often develop over time and can continue to show up despite insight and understanding.

I tend to use RTT when there is a clear issue to explore, such as a specific phobia, recurring anxiety, or long-standing patterns linked to confidence and self-worth.

RTT is one part of my work. I also offer counselling and coaching, and sessions are shaped around what feels most supportive and appropriate for you.

When RTT May Be Helpful

This approach can be a good fit when there is something quite specific you would like support with.

This might be a particular fear, ongoing anxiety, or a familiar pattern around confidence or self-worth that keeps showing up, even when you understand where it comes from.

RTT can be helpful when emotional reactions feel automatic or difficult to shift through talking alone. These responses are often learned over time and can continue to show up despite insight and self-awareness.

During an initial conversation, we can explore whether this feels like a good fit for what you are experiencing.

Why RTT Can Feel Different

This work can feel different because it focuses on emotional responses and beliefs that sit beneath conscious awareness. For some people, fears or anxiety can feel automatic and hard to shift, even when they understand where they come from.

Working in a relaxed and focused state can create space to notice these responses in a new way. Some people experience meaningful shifts quite quickly, while for others change unfolds more gradually, over time.

As with all therapeutic work, everyone’s experience is different. The aim is not to force change, but to support understanding and movement in a way that feels safe and appropriate for you.

What To Expect

Sessions begin with a conversation, giving space to talk about what you would like support with and what feels important to focus on. This also allows time to ask questions and to make sure you feel comfortable moving forward.

If RTT is part of the work, this usually involves a deeply relaxed but aware state, similar to that in between being awake and asleep. This state often feels calm and natural, allowing attention to turn inward without feeling out of control.

After the session, you are provided with a personalised audio recording. Listening to this daily for around 21 days is an important part of the process, as it supports the brain in forming new, more supportive patterns over time.

Follow up support is included to check in on how things are settling and to offer guidance if needed.

RTT Alongside Counselling and Coaching

RTT is one of the approaches I offer, and it can be used on its own or alongside counselling or coaching. There is no expectation to choose one approach over another, and the work is shaped around what feels most helpful for you.

Counselling offers space to explore experiences over time, helping you make sense of emotional patterns at a steady pace. Coaching tends to focus more on practical support, structure, and everyday strategies. RTT provides a more focused way of working with specific emotional responses or beliefs that feel stuck or automatic.

During an initial conversation, we can talk through what you are looking for support with and decide together what feels like the best fit.

Alongside RTT, I also offer ADHD focused self study courses for those who prefer structured support they can explore in their own time.

Client Testimonials

  • “I came to RTT for social anxiety and wasn’t sure what to expect, as hypnotherapy was new to me. The session felt clear and straightforward, and afterwards things felt noticeably lighter. I’ve been listening to the recording regularly and find it calming and helpful as part of my routine.”

  • “I initially came for counselling around confidence and was later guided towards an RTT session. The session helped me see things from a different perspective, including links to earlier experiences I hadn’t expected. Afterwards, many unhelpful thoughts eased, and over time I’ve felt more like myself and much more comfortable in social situations.”

  • “A friend suggested an RTT session with Carol for long-standing stomach issues. I was sceptical at first after trying CBT, but decided to give it a try. Since the session, I’ve noticed a real difference and have been able to enjoy holidays, gigs, and days out without problems.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Rapid Transformational Therapy?

Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) is a focused approach that works with the subconscious mind. It can help when anxiety, fears, or self-doubt feel automatic or hard to shift through talking alone.

How many RTT sessions will I need?

One RTT package is often enough and involves a longer session of around two hours. Occasionally, a further session can be helpful, depending on the outcome of the session.

Will I be asleep during the session?

No. You remain awake, aware, and in control. It’s a deeply relaxed state, similar to the moment just before falling asleep.

What can RTT help with?

RTT is often used for anxiety, panic, specific fears, and patterns of low self-worth, especially when reactions feel automatic or deeply ingrained.

How do I know whether RTT or counselling is right for me?

RTT can be helpful when something feels stuck or repetitive. Counselling offers space to explore things more gradually. A free discovery call can help you decide what feels right for you.
