Hi, I’m Carol Gordon, a BACP-registered counsellor and psychotherapist offering online counselling and ADHD-informed support. I’m here to help you explore what’s going on and find a way forward that feels right for you.
Online counselling can help when life feels harder than it should. You might find yourself overthinking, feeling anxious without knowing where it’s coming from, or carrying a constant sense of pressure that never really switches off.
Perhaps you’ve been trying to hold everything together for so long that you’ve lost sight of how you actually feel. You may be exhausted from always looking after everyone else, struggling with low confidence, finding relationships difficult, or feeling like you’re repeating the same patterns without understanding why.
Counselling offers the opportunity to slow things down, explore what’s happening beneath the surface and begin making sense of your experiences.
I offer a calm, supportive space where we can work together to understand what’s really going on and find a way forward that feels right for you.
A supportive space to explore anxiety, overwhelm and emotional wellbeing.
A focused approach to explore deeper emotional patterns, beliefs and lasting change.
A supportive space to explore the emotional and everyday impact of ADHD.
Every person comes to therapy with their own experiences, challenges and goals. Rather than following a fixed approach, I adapt each session to what feels most helpful for you.
Some days you might need the space to untangle your thoughts and make sense of what’s been happening. Other days you may want practical strategies, gentle challenge or a different perspective. Together, we’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable, allowing you to explore your experiences with greater clarity and self-awareness.
As a pluralistic counsellor, I draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on your needs. This may include exploring how past experiences continue to influence the present, using grounding techniques to manage anxiety and overwhelm, or introducing practical tools where they feel helpful. My aim is to help you understand yourself more clearly, recognise unhelpful patterns and build lasting emotional wellbeing.
Online counselling can help if you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck or finding it difficult to cope with life’s challenges. You don’t need to have everything figured out before getting in touch. If, after talking things through, I think another approach such as Transformational Therapy or ADHD-Informed Therapy would be more suitable, I’ll explain the differences so you can decide what feels right for you.
Every session is shaped around you and what you need at that moment. Sometimes you may want the space to talk things through, while other sessions might include practical strategies, grounding techniques or exploring patterns that are affecting your wellbeing. We’ll work together at a pace that feels comfortable, helping you understand yourself more clearly and find a way forward.
Not at all. Many people begin counselling because they know something doesn’t feel right but find it difficult to put into words. You don’t need to have a clear reason or know where to start. If you’d like to talk things through first, you’re welcome to book a free 20-minute discovery call, where we can discuss what you’re looking for and whether counselling feels like the right next step.
