Online Counselling for Anxiety, ADHD & Emotional Overwhelm (UK)
ADHD-Aware Counselling
Many people I work with come to counselling feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted, often before they ever consider ADHD. Some are diagnosed. Many are not.
I work in an ADHD aware way, which means I pay close attention to how focus, overwhelm, and emotional experiences show up for you. Whether or not ADHD is part of your story, sessions are guided by what feels most important to explore and move at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.
Counselling and Emotional Support
Life can feel heavy at times, especially when thoughts feel busy, emotions feel intense, or everything starts to feel harder than it used to. You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or unsure what is driving the way things feel right now.
Online counselling offers a confidential and supportive space to explore what is happening for you, without pressure to fit a particular label or outcome. Some people come with clear goals. Others arrive feeling unsure where to begin. Both are welcome.
I offer online counselling across the UK, supporting adults who are navigating anxiety, ADHD related experiences, emotional overwhelm, phobias, and life transitions. Sessions are shaped around your experiences and what feels most relevant for you, allowing space for reflection, understanding, and gradual change.

My Counselling Approach
I work integratively, which means counselling is shaped around you rather than a single fixed model. Different approaches may be drawn on depending on what feels most supportive at the time.
A PERSON CENTRED APPROACH
Person-centred counselling offers a supportive and empathetic space to explore thoughts and emotions at your own pace. The focus is on understanding what matters to you and supporting self awareness and confidence.
SELF-help AND MINDFULNESS techniques
Mindfulness and self help techniques can support emotional regulation and stress management. These tools may be introduced where helpful to reduce overwhelm and support emotional wellbeing.
COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY (CBT)
CBT informed approaches support awareness of thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, stress, or low confidence. Sessions may gently explore these patterns to develop clearer and more balanced ways of responding.
Solution-Focused Therapy
Solution focused work builds on your strengths and what is already working. The focus is on identifying small, achievable steps that support clarity and confidence.
When Counselling May Feel Helpful
People come to counselling for many different reasons. You may recognise one or several of these experiences.
-
Anxiety, ongoing worry, or feeling on edge
-
ADHD related experiences, whether diagnosed or not
-
Emotional overwhelm, burnout, or mental exhaustion
-
Low confidence or persistent self doubt
-
Depression, low mood, or loss of motivation
-
People pleasing and difficulty setting boundaries
-
Phobias and fear based responses
-
Stress linked to work, relationships, or life changes
You do not need to have everything figured out before starting counselling. Some people arrive with a clear focus, while others begin with a general sense that something is not quite right.

Additional ADHD Support Options

Many people who come to counselling are also looking for practical ways to support themselves between sessions or at their own pace. Alongside counselling, I offer ADHD informed courses designed to support focus, emotional regulation, and everyday overwhelm.
These resources can be explored independently or alongside therapy, depending on what feels right for you. They are especially helpful for people who are beginning to explore ADHD, whether diagnosed or not.
